Chelsea vs Bournemouth: Chelsea’s golden career seems to be over as they have lost three of their last four games in the competition. However, they have the opportunity to return to the track, since they are at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and host a Bournemouth team that has lost its last five consecutive PL games.
Chelsea toured the last day of the game and did everything possible to defeat their hosts, Everton. But despite the tireless efforts, the Blues could not conclude their road trip satisfactorily.
The Toffees immediately found the bottom of the net in the fifth minute and added two later in the second half. In return, the guests could only score one goal, so the match ended 3-1, in favor of the hosts.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth was defeated at home by potential Liverpool champions the week before the game. Virgil van Dijk and company kept the front line of the hosts completely silent, and the Reds recorded a 0-3 victory on the road.
At this time, consider the desperation of Frank Lampard’s men to get back on track. After their impressive career, they face some minor stumbling blocks, and this meeting this weekend seems to be the ideal opportunity to register a massive victory and regain their confidence.
It certainly helps that Bournemouth is currently the worst team in the competition, recently. They have lost their last five games in PL. The team conceded two or more times in four of their previous five games and failed to score in the previous two.
In addition, they have not won a victory in ten of their last eleven games and are on a six-game away streak. Note that Bournemouth failed to score in four of his previous six road games as well.
Above all, the Blues were undefeated in 16 of their last 20 home games, and have won four of the previous h2h games on this site. Also understand that the hosts kept the sheets clean during the last two h2h clashes here, while scoring twice or more in three of the previous five.
You will probably expect a convincing victory for Chelsea this Saturday, which will provide at least a temporary respite for restless fans.
