Philadelphia Flyers (14-16-4) vs New York Rangers (15-14-5) Live | NHL Hockey on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 7:00 pm in Madison Square Garden.
A day after suffering his first loss since Scott Gordon replaced Dave Hakstol as a coach, the Philadelphia Flyers will try to return to the winning track on Sunday in the New York Rangers. Rookie goalkeeper Carter Hart opened the way when the Flyers won Gordon’s first two games at the helm, but could not enjoy a 37-19 shot lead on Saturday, as they lost 4-3 against the Colón.
“We won two difficult victories and played a game (Saturday) where we certainly had our opportunities … and limited the number of opportunities,” Gordon told reporters. “We should go to New York with confidence in our game, as much as possible.” Philadelphia has won four consecutive games with the Rangers, scoring blanks in the last two meetings, including a 4-0 home victory on November 23 behind goalie Calvin Pickard, recently fired.
