Newcastle United vs Chelsea: The streak of difficult games for Newcastle seems to continue, and despite their advantage at home this weekend, Chelsea should try them severely.
Chelsea is on a three-game winning streak against this opponent.
Six of the first seven victories were also won by the Blues.
Five of the previous eight games had goals from both teams.
Chelsea have conceded two or more goals in five of their last six visits to the stadium.
Newcastle faced the Wolves on the last day of the game, and despite a 0-1 lead in the 7th minute, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile, Chelsea had played with the Burnley hosts the week of the previous game, and dominated by a 3-0 victory to zero, to sit comfortably in fourth place.
This weekend, Chelsea seems to be more of an ideal candidate to post all three points on the board.
They are and have been one of the best teams in the competition for a long time. They are the last team to win the title before Pep and the boys begin to dominate, and even now they have control of a place in the Champions League.
In addition, the team is back after their impressive career was interrupted a few days ago. For now, the Blues are undefeated in their last four games (including three wins) and along the way, they have been invincible in 11 of their last 13 trips.
In fact, since August, the team has only lost to Manchester City and Everton in away matches, and has even had a streak of seven consecutive victories in the Premier League and Champions League.
On the other hand, Newcastle could not win in five of its six previous meetings and could not keep a clean sheet in 23 of its 28 previous games.
In addition, the Blues are on a three-game winning streak against this opponent and have also recorded six of the previous seven victories in h2h.
Given all these observations, Frank Lampard’s Chelsea is the favorite to score all three points.
However, keep in mind that they are on the road and have not been able to keep a clean sheet on 18 of their previous 20 trips. In addition, at home, Newcastle was undefeated in ten of his last twelve games, and had lost at home only to Arsenal, Leicester and Everton throughout the season.
Also consider the fact that nine years have passed since Chelsea returned with a clean sheet of this field, and conceded two or more goals in five of his six previous visits to this site.
Given this information, Chelsea is supposed to be very unlikely to keep a blank sheet this Saturday and, therefore, the BTTS bet seems very promising.
