It is almost incredible that this comeback is 17 years later and one of the teams still has the same quarter and the head coach, but that is true. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will play their 9th Super Bowl together, Brady looking for his sixth title to further consolidate his legacy as the best defender of all time. Brady has already announced that he will not retire after this season, but it would be a truly incredible story if Tom’s legendary career started and ended with a Super Bowl victory over the Rams.
We all know that Tom is winning or losing once again, and Rams job is to make sure he loses. The situation is very different from the one 17 years ago: the Rams were in St. Louis and head coach Sean McVay was still in high school, while quarterback Jared Goff was not willing to read La’s defenses. NFL Aaron Donald was probably already overthrowing people in college.
Now, the established NFL dominant force meets the young trainer and the Rams star squad in what could be the deadliest showdown, including the Super Bowl, we’ve seen. It is simply impossible to know who has the advantage. Of course, the Rams have more talent, but the Patriots have Brady and Belichick playing in the 9th Super Bowl. There are no favorites here, only two very good teams ready to give us a match that we will never forget.
