Brighton vs Man United Preview
The Red Devils had high hopes this season, and had even bought Donny Van de Beek from Ajax, to show off a superb midfield trio of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Van de Beek.
However, they lost their first game, and that too at Old Trafford. Following the recent domination of the PL by archivists Liverpool and Citizens, fans are losing patience day by day. Suffice it to say that the team cannot at all costs do without victories in their first two games.
It’s a game Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men must win.
They have the confidence to face the Gaviotas this weekend. Not only are Graham Potter’s men a virtually inexperienced team, their roster talent is far below that of the Devils.
On top of that, Solskjaer’s men are in despair and more importantly they have also outplayed this opponent in h2h clashes over the years.
Probably expect Manchester United to win this Saturday.
Brighton vs Man United: head to head (H2H)
- The Devils had won 0-3 on the road the last time they met. The game took place barely two months ago.
- They are also on a three-game winning streak against this opponent.
- The team had scored a total of eight goals in those three games.
- Solskjaer’s men had also won five of the previous seven matches.
Brighton vs Man United: Prediction
Potter’s men had won 3-0 on the road on the final day of the game against Newcastle. Meanwhile, the Devils had lost 1-3 at home to Crystal Palace.
Still, Solskjaer’s men are one of the best teams in the league and finished third in the table last season. On the other hand, the Gaviotas had to settle for only two places above the descent limit.
Moving on, the three-time European champions are in desperate need of a win and the first loss could be attributed to rust and the lack of a proper preseason. They’ll be back at their best very soon, and they really have the talent to make it happen.
Additionally, they also have an excellent h2h record against this rival, and it’s also worth noting that Potter’s men had reached the top just a few seasons ago. They are not yet fully equipped to face the titans of England.
As such, expect Manchester United to win this weekend.
