Nashville Predators vs. Carolina Hurricanes | Preseason Game 6 | Sunday, September 30, 2018 – 1:30 p.m. ET | PNC Arena – Raleigh, NC
The Carolina Hurricanes will try to complete a pre-season slate without knowing defeat when they face the Nashville Predators at RBC Arena. While the two teams finish the preseason list today each of them participates in lineups that seems to represent the first regular season training, which will begin in Carolina on October 4 at home against the New York Islanders.
Although the complete game of the Canes was a welcome spectacle, the greatest development could have been Warren Foegele’s game. With seven points (one goal, six assists) and during the reproduction in a productive line Teuvo Teräväinen and Sebastian Aho Foegele won a place with a fantastic field of sticks as I hope to be a sign of things to come. Another notable positive point was the preseason rebound of goalkeeper Scott Darling. His save percentage of 0.978 is the best NHL pre-season action to date, and 44 of 45 sent disks were stopped. While the preseason figures come with the usual warnings, the canes certainly hope that this performance is a sign of what will come in the regular year.
What to look for:
- Let’s see if Scott Darling can continue the solid progress he seems to have made in the preseason so far. If it’s comfortable and returns to the type of player that was in Chicago, the batons will be in a much better position to face at least the guards around the league average.
- A large crowd is expected, as this game is a free entry to the hurricanes “Carnival Caniac” to celebrate next season. The doors of the ticket office are now open and the arena opens at noon for subscribers and at 12:15 for the public. Enjoy now..
